Commerce Tigers - 2020 Basketball Preview Feature - Presented by Welch State Bank

BOYS
Coach: Terry Tyree Jr.
2019-20 Record: 15-11
Scoring for the Tigers may not be an issue this season as they return several shooters to the floor. According to head coach Terry Tyree Jr. the Tigers feature a very versatile team with good depth and several kids over 6-foot. Offensively they will look to get out in transition and finish at the rim. Ty Jauert (6-4, Sr.) is the returning Co-Defensive Player of the Year in their conference. Jauert averaged 15.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals a game. Lance Hyatt (5-8, Sr.) brings the energy to the court. Hyatt went for 7.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals last season. Trysten Bundy (6-0, Sr.) works hard at his game and is expected to make an impact at guard. Hunter Bissell (6-4, Sr.) will play the post while Gannon Reece (6-5, Sr.) looks to continue his solid play at forward. Reece averaged 14 points and 9.0 rebounds last year. Also look for Marcus Howard (6-0, Jr.) to play multiple roles this season. SOMETHING TO WATCH – Jauert is the type of player who rises to the level of competition. He shows up every day with a great attitude and challenges his teammates to be better. The senior is a four-year starter for the Tigers.
