Coach: David Cash

2019-20 Record: 19-7

The Lady Huskies are looking to pick up the pace this season as head coach David Cash wants his team to run the floor and play at a pace tough for any team to match. Cash said the team will play a man-to-man, mostly full court defense. “This years team will be young but talented. Our returning players have put in the work over the summer, getting stronger and faster,” said Cash. Miya Curry (5-8, So.) started as a freshman and averaged 7.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.3 steals a game. Shelby Laird (5-8, Sr.) starts at forward and coach Cash believes she is set for a breakout year. Laird averaged 6.5 points and 6.4 rebounds. Arianna Soliano (5-3, Sr.) was the sixth-man last season averaging 4.8 points a game. Jordan Nel-son (5-8, Jr.) is an experienced forward with excellent skills around the rim. Ne-vaeh Taylor (5-7, Jr.) is one of the top defensive players on the team. Also look for Jayden Sloan (5-8, So.) who played as a freshman and is a good three-point shooter. SOMETHING TO WATCH – Curry is one of the top defensive players in the area and she can score making her one of the more complete players on the team.
