Pawhuska’s Miya Curry - Softball Spotlight Presented By ConocoPhillips
Pawhuska High School’s Miya Curry was ready to return to school after spending most of the summer at home like many of her classmates. Returning to school and to athletics was the right medicine for the shortstop-playing sophomore.
“I was glad that school started because I was tired of being at home all the time and I was really excited to get to play on the field with my seniors one last time,” said Curry.
Being on this team and having a chance to compete with her teammates is exactly what Curry wanted for this school year. The relationships she has built and the way each and every member of the team is dedicated to the overall success of the club is a big reason why this Pawhuska softball team is one to watch.
“What I love most is all of the relationships with my teammates and how dedicated we are to the game and to each other,” said Curry. “The best thing about Pawhuska High School is how well we get along and how everyone is close like family.”
As a three-sport athlete at Pawhuska – playing softball, basketball, and track – Curry would like to continue her athletic career in college. She also plays travel softball for Exclusive Premier.
Curry said that her mother and her coach, Angela Foster, have been two tremendous supporters who have helped her get to where she is today.
