Coach: Lee Ott

2019-20 Record: 23-3

The Cougars fell short of the state tournament last year, but ended the season with a 23-3 record. Head coach Lee Ott says that his squad brings back a lot of experience and he is ready to see what they can do. “We will be junior and senior heavy,” he said. “We have seven players returning, four of them have starting experience. Growth and maturity will help this group out, they have been to Area the last two years and played in the Area Championship as freshmen and sophomores. They are a fun group to watch and be around, not a lot of height, but very skilled and aggressive.” Jace Hollingshed (6-0, Sr) has been the best all-around player since his freshman year. He is a three year starter and he is the most efficient and hardest working player. Also a multi-year starter, Nate Collier (6-3, Sr) is a strong and physical presence in the post position. He will be a key player at both ends of the court this season. Dillon Ellis (5-11, Sr) is the best on-ball defender on the team and will help to lock down the opponents. A smart player and good shooter, Kade Hollingshed (6-0, Jr) has a high basketball IQ and looks to play a big role this season for the Cougars. A key bench player the past two years, Henry Auer (5-9, Sr) will look to be an impact player this season. SOMETHING TO WATCH - Hollingshed was voted to the All-District Team as a junior by the Region 3 coaches.
