Senior track standout Havannah Stites is a member of the varsity track and crosscountry teams at Pryor High School. Stites has a passion for her sport and a drive that pushes her to succeed. But her teammates are just as important to her as winning. “The thing I love most about my team and teammates is how we all use each other to make each other better and if someone does better then us then we tell them good job because that’s what teammates do,” said Stites.

With all of the meets and tournaments she has participated in over her high school career, the memories are too vast to recall, but one does stand out amongst the rest. “My favorite memory this year was qualifying as a team for the state cross country meet because we worked so hard for it,” said Stites. “I’d love to give a shout out to coach Harlow because without her I would’ve never been the athlete I became and to my family and friends for always believing in me and pushing me to be the best version of myself,” said Stites.

When asked about her favorite subject in school, Stites was quick to answer with Biology and the popular Mr. Hollyman. “My favorite subject is school is definitely Biology and Mr. Hollyman will forever be my favorite teacher,” said Stites.

Her plans after graduation include college and chasing her dream of becoming a high school coach. “After I graduate I plan to attend Northeastern State University and receive a bachelors degree in Biology education and become a high school biology teacher and a coach,” said Stites.
